I'm not Black, but I think we should all join Conyers Black Caucus - they'
they're the only ones who always stand up for what's right, and fair,

when the DNC and DLC desert us out here, the Black Caucus is doing the

fight the Dem Party should be !!!!!

Let's e mail John Conyers and thank him and theBlack Caucus for being

the only real Democrats around....and ask if we can join the Black

Caucus, cause we need a new party and a new leader.

I am also white and have been working on asking the black caucus to adopt me as a disenfranchised voter.

3. good idea. I know they'll half chuckle - and 1/2 not - cause of all
the abuse and ignoring they've taken.

4. Every fall they have a huge Meeting / Conference

in Washington.

There are fabulous parties and lots of interesting people speak.

I have always missed it because of work.

I will be there next year.

I saw one session on CSPAN once. Ted Kennedy was the guest speaker.
He rocked!!!!

I saw a few Whites in the audience so let's hope loyals from DU can attend too.

14. I have the letters almost finished check in with me tomorrow night.
I am also writing some others. Yesterday I was leaning toward the Black Caucus.

I am among 30% of the electorate in my county

12. Barack Obama would become a new member obviously
in terms of finding help in the senate. Until he is sworn in, perhaps Feingold would do something if called upon?

in the CBC when they were the only ones to stand tall against the selection of the resident-select.

9. I'm with you.
I have felt for a long time that the Congressional Black Caucus speaks for me more than anybody else in Congress. (Especially now that I'm disenfranchised here in NC with two Repug Senators and a disgusting Repug Rep.) Most of the members have been through the civil rights battles, which is where I came of age. And I will stop what I'm doing to listen to Sheila Jackson Lee and Maxine Waters, particularly, any time they speak.

So sign me up, please!

17. i love the black caucus am so impressed with them.
they are articulate, fast talking and to the point. well a lot are fast talkers there are a few that talk pretty darn slow. trying to remember what event had me watching. thinking thinking, they were good.
