Evangelical's mission is to "CHANGE NEW ENGLAND"!!
Edited on Mon Nov-08-04 09:00 PM by Bluebear
Evidently the one state (New Hampshire) that went blue for Bush is due for some preachin'....

http://www.theunionleader.com/articles_showa.html?article=46747

Among the fastest-growing Christian congregations in New Hampshire are evangelical, largely independent, churches led by a new breed of inspired missionaries intent on transforming the state's spiritual landscape. (Note: just saving souls aren't enough anymore?)...

Not just New Hampshire, but New England in general — long known in clerical circles as the land of the "chosen frozen" — is seen by evangelicals as one of one of the most fertile missionary fields in the country.

Evangelical Protestants — some with financial backing from independent churches in the Midwest and South — are training their sights here in hopes of spreading Christ's message to New Hampshire's large number of non-church goers and its new ethnic and immigrant groups.

"The Northeast is the greatest mission field in the United States," said Pastor Frank Reynolds of Manchester Christian Church. "Our mission is to change New England by turning ordinary people into extraordinary followers of Christ," added Reynolds, 55, a Virginia native who came here in 1980.

and he's not popular here ... In fact, his effort to add more Republicans to the state Legislature failed so badly that the repugs now hold the fewest amount of seats since 1867.

30. I think Romney's fight against gay marriage (did he do ANYTHING else?)...
is going to come back and haunt him too. Every representative to vote FOR gay marriage this year was re-elected. Every one.

Nobody wants to hear their fairy tale shit. Everyone knows about God. Most don't give a shit about him nor his followers. We don't need this religious crap rammed down our throats by fundies. :grr:

Looks like The Crusades are happening again. We know how well that turned out. :eyes: :grr: </sarcasm>

8. "Our mission is to change New England"
"By turning enlightened people into a bunch of drooling, knuckle dragging, fundamentalist idiots."

Is what Pastor Frank really means.

If you run across any of these people, tell them to take their inbred, confederate flag waving asses back to Dixie.

24. Let them come to New England and waste their money
trying to "transform the spiritual landscape"

Our spiritual landscape is richly multicultural, and they will blow a LOT of money and time for naught.

27. The Free state project
http://www.freestateproject.org/

"The Free State Project is a plan in which 20,000 or more liberty-oriented people will move to New Hampshire, where they may work within the political system to reduce the size and scope of government. The success of the Free State Project would likely entail reductions in burdensome taxation and regulation, reforms in state and local law, an end to federal mandates, and a restoration of constitutional federalism, demonstrating the benefits of liberty to the rest of the nation and the world."

---

I invite 20,000 progressives to move here!
