Ohio Poll Worker on the Rigged Vote
Touch screen voting machines in Youngstown OH were registering "George W. Bush" when people pressed "John F. Kerry" ALL DAY LONG. This was reported immediately after the polls opened, and reported over and over again throughout the day, and yet the bogus machines were inexplicably kept in use THROUGHOUT THE DAY.

2. How come I'm not surprised...
...and having worked with touchscreens, I know exactly how it could have been done. If Bush is the "default" map, when you first boot the machine, screw up its calibration (or just have an older pollworker with arthritis do the initial calibration, not to be offensive). In a touchscreen calibration, you have to define 5 points. Center, upper left, upper right, lower left and lower right. Mark the center about 3/4 down the screen, and you "skew" the touchmap and make it more likely that anyone touching Option B actually selects Option A.

5. Could this be what that Diebold guy was doing
when he had uncontroled access to the machines a coupld weeks before the elections?
I heard about that on here; someone came in over theweekend of Oct 16th and fooled with the machines with nobody present.

6. It also happened in Florida, they showed it on CNN on election day
They interviewed a woman around 1 pm CST who told the *exact* same story. She was clear, concise, credible, a white, well-dressed woman who looked to be in her 40's.

She went through and touched all the buttons that she wanted to vote for, and at the end there was a confirmation screen showing that she voted for Bush. She immediately called the elections officials, showed them the problem and went through some things like rebooting the machine or something, and finally her vote for Kerry went through.

This was a live interview on CNN. If you could've seen the look on Kyra Phillip's face.

9. Yep, they sure as hell did. If you could've seen Kyra Phillip's face
...of non-comprehension as the interview ended. It was like she was just told that there wasn't a Santa Clause but yet she still believed in him.

For the first part of the day, CNN was really covering the whole 'election difficulties' with things like voter turnout, touchscreen voting etc.

I wish I had it taped. I'd bet dollars to donuts someone has it out there somewhere.

It was a fairly lengthy interview, I'd say a good minute or maybe even two minutes. The lady was very well-spoken. She basically halted the line to that machine while they figured out how to get her vote for Kerry to go down properly.

So, election officials had knowledge of this security flaw?

On tape?

That could say volumes about efforts to record the vote fairly.
