Just finished writing this. Don't know if anyone will like it at all, but I'll put it up here hoping for comments and suggestions.
How Does It Feel To Be Dancing *
How does it feel to be dancing? Dancing at the end of a string? Repeating the lines of your masterminds, Spinning your soul while the church bells ring. Dance away! Dance away!
I have a nightmare waking Of a world turned upside down Mankind's hopes are breaking As the skyline tumbles down.
From the fires of hell comes Satan Bringing a surprise. The demon Fear to engineer The Enlightenment's demise.
The masses hail the cheerleader The warriors get the call Those few with doubts are sorted out To mitigate their Gaul
And the world looks on in horror Hearing the cheerleader say It's in your face to the human race Who needs you anyway.
We'll win this one he struts and crows. We will massacre and maul. In another thousand years or so We can kill them all
The people think in platitudes As their young men march away A patriotic fever keeps Their wisdom locked away
And Jesus gets another nail From the righteous and the good Who know not what they're doing. Even though you know you should.
Oh, how does it feel to be dancing? Dancing at the end of a string? Repeating the lines of your masterminds, Spinning your soul while the church bells ring. Dance away! Dance away!
A new crusade of lies and hate Transforms gays into Jews The bishops say that hate’s OK. Christ they are confused.
And Politics is simplified. One size fits us all. No need to know the issues when The good book makes the call.
The seedling's needs are everything the egg above them all Common sense has no recompense When the ladies take the fall
And liberals keep on reasoning But righteous minds are closed They've been demonized for infanticide God help their heathen souls.
Fat addicts feed the faithful A wedge of clever lies The preachers in their pulpits Are all wearing a disguise
The church folks vote for charlatans Who keep them in a squeeze, And in a trance. Just watch them dance. Their dancing on their knees.
So, how does it feel to be dancing? Dancing at the end of a string? Repeating the lines of your masterminds, Spinning your soul while the church bells ring. Dance away! Dance away! Dance away from me please! Dance away!
