4. I thought Iran had an army too.
Or at least something with a far better claim to the title of "army" than what Iraq had.

7. Also a book review on NPR last week that said Iranians
want to be free. I interpreted that to be a first move in the direction of Iran.

5. No.
They will be content to have the military bases installed in Iraq, and the chimp will be able to send other peoples children out there to protect his Saudi masters. Don't forget, Reason #2 after the oil, for invading Iraq was the Saudis were sick of the US military bases on their soil, and the constant terrorist attacks happening against them because of that.

Plus, Iran has an actual military.

6. Not now.
Unless the US wants to confront China. China will not even let it be brought up for debate in the Security Council. Plus China just signed a 25 year oil and gas deal with Iran.

We're not taking on China.

8. * won't invade Iran
Edited on Tue Nov-09-04 06:45 PM by RegexReader
since he will use the SF/CIA for an internal coup to make it look like the people in the region are 'for democracy'. This internal coup would put the screws to the Iran/China deal. The US would get the oil to fuel the never ending binge of SUVs. I'm betting on Sudan.

Look for a Christian jihad to "Stop Sudanese Slavery". It will be a cheap easy victory militarily and would be aimed in shoring up repug support among black voting groups then * could pose then as the greatest emancipator since Lincoln. Plus it would give the military more trigger time on a base of Muslim insurgents that have sent a # of fighters to Iraq to embarrass * on the facade of peace there.

My 2¢,

RegexReader
$USA =~ s/Republican/Democrat/ig;
