8. Hey great Idea
How about a nice big Star of David, a neon sign bilboard of verses from the Koran and maybe some wiccans can get to gether and draw up a pentagram.

They want religion, damn, we'll give them Religion.

29. You are a GENIUS!
That is absolutely what we need to do.

Another thing I have been doing is asking the very religious a LOT of questions. Like I am REALLY interested. It is SO funny to see them squirm, but there is nothing they can say because our president raised the issue for EVERYBODY. Be VERY curious and be VERY helpful (ie, "yeah, and we can add all these other displays to represnet ALL of the other religions in this GREAT country of ours!)

This is gonna be more fun than I thought!

3. Sigh.
More and more I think that dissolution of the Union is the only way out of this mess.

Screw 'em. Let them have their theocracy. All I ask is that I don't have to play.

They'll make sure America is "cleansed" for Jesus' return after their Godly appointed President helps usher in the Rapture.

These people are clinically and legally insane.

18. Stocks
For missing Sunday schools, wood piles for auto-da-fe's to curtail blasphemous behavior, endless possibilities. Even without asscrack's help the fundie idiots and Bush can change America into a serfdom before 2008.

He is part of the Muskogee family that owned Coburn Optical. Family patriarch O.W. Coburn once gave Oral Roberts $10 million for the purpose of starting a law school.

I've no doubt he is a snotty bastard. He's also a confirmed kook - a real rightwing nutjob.

On edit: Oral Roberts gave that law school to Pat Robertson a few years later and it was packed up and shipped off to Virginia Beach where it now operates as Regent University school of law.

10. Bill of Rights
Can we not take up a collection to get a Bill of Rights put up next to every single one of these Ten Commandments monuments? That's the issue, the Constitution or the Bible. Which will it be.

12. Money quote:
Haskell County Commissioner Henry Few: "It's been pounded in people's heads so long that a lot of people believe there is a difference between church and state, but I don't believe there is".

Mr. Few, you can believe whatever you want, but, to paraphrase, you are not allowed your own facts. The fact of the matter is that this nation was founded, in part, by people who fled a nation with a government-established church. Do you enjoy spitting in the eye of the Founders?

16. Oh well, it's only Oklahoma.
As long as they keep this kind of nuttery confined to states that are already lost causes, I'm not going to get any more worked up than seeing state prayers in Saudi-occupied Arabia.

with a loudspeaker seemingly coming out of the clouds, saying in God's commanding, booming voice, "Have I not commanded you not to bow down before graven images?" I would have paid to see that.

"Thou shalt not step on a crack"...

Any OK DU-ers want to erect a monument with these and other similiar "commandments"? There is NO difference.

If Judge Whore-More can be smacked down in Alabama, these chumps will too. When and by how much will depend chiefly on how aggressively the state and local authorities want to enforce the law.
