Why aren't we using Gore v. Bush to demand paper ballots for
all Florida counties? Wasn't that case all about consistency throughout the state? And isn't it apparent that voting methods in Republican counties which do have a paper trail, have an edge over Democratic counties which don't?

1. The answer is in Bush v Gore
It did not set a precedent... so they tell us

So since it did not set a precedent, the pugs will tell us, cannot be used in court as well precedent

Aren't they amazing?

Oh and don't give me any shit about precedent going back to the Magna Carta... I know, I know, and so do you, but they will use that technicality

3. All the more reason for us to use it.

Put them in the position of explaining why their reasoning in Bush v Gore was wrong.

We don't sue on the basis of Bush v Gore, but on the basis of equal protection that it expounded. Which, of course, SCOTUS has never interpreted that way before and never will again.

Not that they would grant cert., but just filing a case means it can get some publicity.

I could certainly use the comic relief right now.

2. paper
Receipts are mandatory. Its a fundamental breakdown that there is no paper trail. I know who to blame but I have no idea how to change it.

5. Opti scans are in Republican leaning counties & have paper ballots
and the touchscreen without the paper trails are in the Dem counties.
