Responses to the Atlanta realtor in today's AJC!
Problems still exist

As a sad fiscal conservative, I had my perception of America changed for me by Regina Gulick.

I didn't know all our problems went away merely because 51 percent of the electorate voted for morality rather than for reality. It seems we no longer have, in Gulick's America, a balance of payment problem, budget deficit, oil deficit, war in Iraq, drug problems or environmental problems -- to mention a few.

I hope everything is going so well in 2008 that it won't again be necessary for the moral majority to bash gay people in order to win another election.

Liberals and their values won't disappear

My condolences to Regina Gulick, who will be sad to learn in coming years that we liberals aren't going to give up on our values.

If she were wiser, she would understand that having our differences and debating them makes us great, and will ensure our longevity as a nation. Someday she will look back on this election and be glad that we didn't all think just like her.

Justice for some

Despite Regina Gulick's assertions, a 51 percent majority isn't "America's clear voice." My liberal, Christian voice is determined to be heard. I'm not sad; I'm disappointed and mad.

Gulick and other narrow-minded fundamentalists should not let their guard down. The election is over, but the fight will continue until justice in the United States is truly "for all."

3. Those are great letters.
In our newspaper, when some writes the liberal point of view, the following letters are just ugly namecalling, not a debate on the points. For some reason, the newspaper allows that to continue.

4. Any DU'ers from Atlanta here?
I would love to know the fallout from this. I noticed they pulled her profile and closed her e-mail box at Coldwell-Banker. It would not have been such a brouhaha if she had left her company out of it and that was a really dumb move to put them into the political spotlight.

5. I'm from metro Atlanta, but I haven't read the AJC in a week
and I took a well-needed break from DU, TV news, pundits, et al yesterday, so I am COMPLETELY out of the loop! I will have to look into this and see what happened.

:wtf: take a one day news vacation and I feel like I have been on the moon for a month.
