Citizen Hearings in Ohio to Probe Election Starting This Weekend!
http://www.ohiocitizen.org/moneypolitics/mp.html

COLUMBUS -- Citizen hearings to probe election -- "Citizen groups are holding two public hearings in Columbus to investigate voting irregularities and voter suppression in Ohio surrounding the 2004 General Election: Saturday, November 13, 1-4 PM at New Faith Baptist Church, 955 Oak Street, Columbus, and Monday, November 15, 6-9 PM, Auditorium (Meeting Room A), Courthouse, 373 S. High St., Columbus. "We are calling for anyone who experienced or observed election irregularities or voter suppression on Election Day to come forward and give their testimony. We are calling for our public officials, community representatives and the media to come and hear the testimony of the people. We will document and/or videotape the testimonies for use in a report and a formal complaint to the Franklin County Board of Elections." Sponsored by Ohio Citizens Alliance for Secure Elections, Common Cause Ohio, This Time We're Watching, Driving Votes, International Labor Communications Association, Ohio Election Reform Now, Columbus Institute for Contemporary Journalism, WVKO Radio, and Columbus League of PO'd Voters. Amy Kaplan, (248) 943-2335.

2. Glad the location is Columbus. Many people there waited 7 TO 10 HOURS
to vote. The county Board of Elections Director, Matt Damschroder, reportedly supplied up to 2000 fewer voting machines in 2004 than in 2000 to pro-Kerry precincts. And the same man met on Election Day with both Secretary of State Ken Blackwell and 'PRESIDENT' GEORGE W. BUSH! Wonder what they talked about?! For the life of me, I can't understand why the media aren't treating this theft of opportunities to vote the same way they treated Watergate! 5. I doubt they would unless they received at least 100 emails requesting that
they cover it. In fact, the thought of CSPAN coverage never even would have crossed my mind without your post. But IMO it's not IMPOSSIBLE. CSPAN producers must fear that Freepers would go psychotic over free air time for the citizen hearings, and would try to get CSPAN's budget cut. CSPAN execs would want assurances that other viewers would back them up and cancel out the Freepers' complaints to Congress. Let's try to get people to email CSPAN, requesting that they cover the events in Columbus Sunday and Monday!!

One good thing in the announcement itself is that the sponsors of the event are going to videotape it. Thus a video could be copied and distributed online and to public access stations all around the country, even weeks or months after this weekend.

8. I hope that

Michael Moore has a film crew assigned. If not, then someone else needs to be recording these meetings to send the film to him.
