Question on how US war deaths are announced and counted.
Edited on Thu Nov-11-04 07:51 PM by xray s
When the media reports US casualties, its usually in terms of "killed today in Iraq".

My question is, how are the deaths of those who succumb from fatal injuries days, weeks or months later reported? People evacuated from Iraq to military hospitals in Europe or the US. Presumably they are they part of the ongoing total.

It would seem to me on any given day, we are losing more people due to the war in Iraq than are reported in the media.

information. The actual numbers of evacuated military from Iraq are in the neighborhood of 20,000+ to include combat wounded, injuries other than combat, illness, emotional destress. Very misleading when reports list only deaths.
