Green, maybe. Libertarian, never! Putting the two together in the same word is disgusting. Libertarians would kill and eat Greens for breakfast if they were in power. They would believe in selling the forests to the highest bidder, not saving them.

Chaos, anger, hatred, riots, death, destruction, collapse. That's what a Libertarian country would be like. Fuck Libertarianism. It's a hateful, hateful, HATEFUL philosophy. "I got mine. Pay or fuck off and die!" It's the exact opposite of what Democrats care about. Concern about the War on Drugs and the War on Civil Liberties are about the ONLY things Dems and Libers have in common.

Hey Libertarians, thanks for the recount stuff and all, but after that's all over, y'all can go back to hating the poor and disinfranchised. And bleeding-heart Democrats.

Sorry, I'm in a bad mood. It'd be a crime if Democrats starting sucking up to Libertarians just because of this recount business.

No taxes, but would you want to have to PAY firefighters before they saved your burning house? Would you want to have to PAY the police before they'd investigate your mugging? Would you want to PAY to have to drive on ALL the roads? What if you didn't have the cash? Too fucking bad. Make money and pay or kill yourself. Pay or fuck off and die. That's the Libertarian philosophy in a nutshell. They try to make it look better than that, but that's what it amounts to.

The "perfect" Libertarian government would be the worst of terrible nightmares. It would make Bushco's America look like Shangra-La. Libertarianism is worse than the farthest right Republicanism. But hey, we can all smoke 'em if we got 'em!

No government, except for military. Can't afford to live? Fuck you. Can't afford to go to work? Fuck you. Kids are starving? Fuck you. Disabled? Fuck you. Want to commit suicide because of all that? Please, be my guest, and take your damn kids with you. Libertarian's hatred of poor people makes the right-wingers' hatred of poor people look like fawning adoration.

Again, thanks to the Libertarians for the Ohio efforts, but after that they can all go straight to hell.

I happen to be one of them. Your little diatribe does accurately reflect the political theories of the Murray Rothbard style libertarians, but you miss the boat completely on the broader definition of the word.

Benjamin Tucker, Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, Lysander Spooner, and Max Stirner do not necessarily fit the mold of the kind of libertarianism you describe, so before you paint us all with a broad hateful brush, you better do a bit more thinking. Yes, I hate government. But I also hate corporations, poverty, institutional bigotry, thought police, war machines, and eco destruction. Interestingly enough, governments tend to be the causes of all those other nasty things.

Am I a utopian idealist? No, I'm a Taoist. Which is about as close as you will get to a LiberGreentarian.
