Chris Matthews is jumping on board with the voting scandal!
Tomorrow's show, Friday 7PM. This is your heads up.

Wow, first Keith then David Shuster and now Chris Matthews. Great work to everyone who has been working on this and sending emails!

Here's a snip from David Shuster's blog mentioning Matthews' tomorrow night show.

On Friday night, "Hardball with Chris Matthews" (7 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET) will be jumping into the fray. You won't want to miss that. Plus, this weekend here on Hardblogger, I'll be posting some amazing national election numbers and demographic trends that may shock you. I've run some of the numbers past a few MSNBC political analysts, and everybody is calling it "a big deal."

Sounds like must see TV to me!

1. Ok ok crazy theory
Watergate developed first at the WaPo and then the NYT picked it up

What if Oberman started and now the rest are starting to pick it up

We may be at the cust of Watergate II breaking fully open.

Regardless this is gonna hurt the country deeply

6. Rather than "Watergate II" this scandal needs its own name
Which "gate" will it become known as?

26. "Regardless this is gonna hurt the country deeply..."
The only way that it could hurt the country is if the truth about what happened is such that NOT bringing it into the open would hurt the country much, much more deeply. don't you think?

It never hurts more to discover the truth than it does to live in a lie.

28. Death to the mandate if nothing else!!!! Death to the mandate!!!!
maybe these pundits and hacks are realizing that if the fundies take over the party they'll be out of a job, as the fundies have their own Bob Jones educated, helmet-hair headed, plastic smile implanted borg units to deploy right into their jobs at the first opportunity.

35. That would be my guest. He's blunt
but I've never gotten the impression he's particularly courageous. I can't see him going out on any sort of limb (perceived or otherwise).

I imagine we'll see: well, I've been in politics, and you know, it's always hard for the losing side... blah, blah, blah.

21. Exactly, he played right into the hands of the Reich Wing
which I expected after seeing him slobber all over the slate of speakers from the RNC, wondering if "anything could be better than this?"
Poke in the eye with a sharp stick for starters...

Yeah I'd love to see him miss out on the whole story; serve him right.

Listen, if you are brave enough to watch, report it if it's worthwhile.

Otherwise, he's just trying to steal Keith's thunder. Asshole.

This also comes from a Rove newser today where he claims * gained in traditional dem strongholds.

They are going to grab the mandate angle again.

Expect nothing from Tweety.

you never know the tune Tweety's gonna chirp.

If he presses hard for investigations and recounts and all, we'll be laying great bowls of premium seed at his feet.

And a new plastic ferris wheel, to boot.

46. There is absolutely no way he gained.......
in democratic strongholds. Now if they said they were better at bringing out their base and other republicans they have a much better chance at believability. But that statement defies all common sense. More democrats voted for him this time thatn in 2004?
After the last four years? Yea right, and I have some swamp land in Florida to sell you too.

8. What a dork
I'm glad he's going to finally report it, but now it just seems like he's jealous of Olbermann. I mean how silly is it that Tweety has never mentioned the story, and the show right after his has it as the #1 story?

I wonder if Olbermann is kicking Tweety's butt in the ratings? :)

If Olbermann does have something on him he won't let him run with it alone. The media is a fickle beast, it follows the ratings.

It irks me that Hardball is rebroadcast over and over, but if you miss the first run of Countdown you may not get to see the one repeat - for example, I missed it last night and was waiting for the repeat but later in the evening it was all Arafat, all the time. But early in the morning, there's Hardball again. Grrr. Olbermann's a thinking guy, Matthews is just an opportunist. Won't watch hm.
