I heard him answering a question about what people from the south think about the issue and how it may have affected the election, from the point of view of a native Arkansan, not what he himself thinks.

As for what he himself thinks, he and Tweety had quite an exchange on this already during the primary campaign. Tweety tried to nail him to "yes" or "no" on "gay marriage," and Clark said it's a civil rights issue, and kept repeating "Equal rights under the law." "What about gay marriage?" "Equal rights under the law." "So is that a yes?" "Equal rights under the law."

I think his own position is quite clear, and he was answering a different question tonight.

I spent 20 years in the Apparel Industry. I now live in the most liberal/gay area of Denver.This whole subject is nothing more than a smoke screen. Why should the thugs talk about healthcare or jobs when they can save all us straight people from EVIL!

Anyone want to venture how many Gay couples would get married tomorrow if it was legal?. Maybe 100,000? I was very surprised the number was so small in San Francisco. It goes to show everyone that Gays take the marriage as serious as straights do.
