1. Uncounted absentees
2. Optiscan voters who were given unreadable alchol-based pens to mark their ballots (mostly in AZ and NM Indian reservations). These would count as undervote or notvoted ballots.
3. Ohio punchcard undervotes...where the tabulators pull the ballot through w/o counting it or pulls two cards through at once.
4. Legal provisional and absentees being thrown out.
5. Confusing absentee ballots like in Hamilton County, OH where Kerry's name was left off OR Kerry was listed as the THIRD name but to vote for him you had to punch the FOURTH hole.
6. Computer errors like the county in Indiana where a straight democratic ticket cast a vote for the libertarian instead of Kerry basically enlarging Bush's margin.
7. Some voters requested Absentees and were handed Provisionals which did not guarantee them being counted.
7. Did they prepunch punchcards in Ohio? Carefully punching three sides of a chad so that when pushed through the counting machine it tabulates as an overvote if the chad becomes further loose. This was done by two GOP judges in Chicago in 2002. YES, GOP judges in CHICAGO IN 2002.
They thought of everything...but SHOULD WE HAVE BEEN BETTER PREPARED?
