Perhaps we should all continue to call the Republican Party "regressives". How's this for a definition?
Definition: Regressives = 1) a group of people seeking to establish a society likened to that seen before the Age of Reason. 2) Those who lack reason. 3) Medieval Americans 4) Those who believe in an "Ownership Society" including the reintroduction of the "Serf" 5) Backwards thinking antonym: Progressive (see Liberal)
All right there in the dictionary, it's mind boggeling to see it and know that their perception is soooooooooo messed up, they actually do see it backward.
Work it into conversations. On the net, refer to conservatives solely as regressives. Never say conservative again. Rarely say neocon. We need to blast this word into the public debate.
9. I don't think theocrat will catch on outside of progressive circles
It's already a loaded word. We need to find a word with moderate-neutral-negative connotations, and then define it as it's being accepted. Regressive works wonderfully.
I also think we need to start calling ourselves something along the line of true patriots or real patriots. Take love of nation back.
