There is absolutely nothing wrong with the DEMOCRATIC party
or its principles.Kerry's defeat should be thought of as a setback for the time being in the many battles yet to come. Our party is not dependent on any one personality. Its strength comes from the many people who deeply believe in our Party's fundamental principles of economic, social and racial equality at home and fairness in dealing with all the peoples of the world on the baiss of mutual respect and noninterference n their internal affairs.

We should never apologize to the religious and racial and sexual bigots that have come to populate the GOP.I take heart that nearly 49% of the voters have cast their votes for our principles in spite of the furious attacks mounted by the liars on the Right. If we continue more vigorously espousing the battles of the common people of this country we will win. Our base is secure and it is growing as large numbers of Hispanic, black, Jews and Asians join hands in our fight. There is simply no need for us to despair.

1. We need to get more nasty
...if we want to prevail. How could anybody vote for a conservative hate based platform if they really knew what they were voting for. Cant we just all get along and help each other?

2. There IS something wrong with the party--all its PR people should be fired
IMO,. that's the only thing wrong with them.

Boo fucking hoo, the media and the GOP and the.....

It's not a surprise, you expect it, so DEAL with it.

This has been irritating me for a long time. Every single person in their communications/media/PR departments should be summarily dismissed because they're doing a piss poor job.

I would include in this Bob Shrum, Donna Brazile, etc.

3. This is one thing I can agree with. These people are not Democrats.
They are PR people. We need to purge these people from the Party and install True Believers who subscribe to the Party's principles.Even if they are not Pros at PR they will be far better than these hacks who are in this game to line their own pockets.

5. No more centrist leaders...
we need to return to a position that is definitely left of center. I am tired of compromising and being a Republican-lite. Let THEM do some compromising for awhile. Let them larn what it is like to have to do without all the charitable contributions that come to their red states because of liberal viewpoints that believe in helping the poor.

7. That is not what I meant to say.I do not want our party to be anything but
the Party it has always been. One that represents the common man.In fact, we need to re emphasize our roots and move away from the DLC that has tried to turn us into what we are not.Our Party must reenergize our base and this will be enough to sweep the rascals of the GOP and their fellow travelers in the DLC out.
