Rumors of Interest Rates skyrocketing? Is it time to shift investments to

Gold funds?

From what I hear, and its rumors, that Republicans are quietly shifting thier wealth out of US investments to Gold funds, and other countries.

anyone hear or read on the same thing?

2. Euro is the way to go
OR Dow index funds if you think Bush will get his SS dream. In that case there will be SS funds fueling the market. SS and 401K funds will be buying anything and pushing prices up.

3. How would I shift my 401k money
which is tied up in corp. stock to gold? I would have to get hit with a penalty, wouldn't I?

7. Interest rates have to rise
and not by the timid 0.25% that Greenspan favors. They have to rise to make the bonds floating the national debt look more attractive. That rising rates will kill what's left of the domestic economy is beside the point. We all know that Bushco won't raise taxes on the rich or the corporate, nor will he cut speding at the Pentagon, especially regarding the unworkable and wasteful Star Wars program. The only solution he has to his debt problem is the temporary fix of attracting buyers with high rates of return.

It's going to be a rough ride, folks.

8. I caught a talking head
on cnbc last week saying that rates would rise as much as two percentage points by the end of next year, maybe more.
