Poll question: Would You Live In Another Country If You Could?
I definitely would.

Europe or Canada, here I come! (I wish)

I really would need a reason to stay at this point, not a reason to go.

17. Yeah. That is almost what hurts the worst. I would love to be somwhere els
I am sickened by this, And I am even more sickened by those Dems that want to reach out and coddle these people. And I don't trust the moderates either. They don't vote for us and never will. Look at Lincoln Chafee. He was going to change and didn't.Loo kat that slime MCCain and how he stabbed Kerry in the back. Look at Colin Powell and his lies to the UN when he said he knew they weren't true. They all slink back to their cesspool no matter how "moderate" we think they are.

11. Hell yes!
Just to experience something different, and give me a new perspective on life in America.

And at this point, I'm wondering if we can afford to stay here, funding things like record deficits and illegal invasions.

12. All over the right wing media, people whao stated they wanted
To leave the U.S. are being mocked as just talking, when the facts are that leaving the U.S. evne for Canada is almost impossible because of the fact that other nations have very small quotas for allowing Americans in. I do not dpubt if these countries had opened borders there would be millions flocking over thr borders into Canada right now. In many ways this would benefit Canada at the expense of the United States. During the cold war, conservatives treid to make the case that the U.S. political sysrtem was supoerior because of all of those people who tried to escape communitst nations, but the doors of the west were opened to them.If the door of Canada and the European Nations were as opened to Americans as they were to refugewss from the Soviet Bloc, I do not doubt that the exodus from the United States would equal if not exceed that of those trying to escape the communist nations. Of course, they would be losing the enormous numbers of the people ion states that are the engines of the U.S. economy. It is the blue states that provide the most of America's GDP while the red states benefit from federal largess that is transferreed from the blue states into the red states. Canada itself could greatly benefit from the know ow that scomes out of the blue states. california alone has the third largest economy in the world. You could take away all of the red states and the U.S. economy would still be the worlds largest. The Red States provide very little but agricultural products to the U.S. Deomestic Product.

In a very real way, had the south actually suceeded in seceding during the Civil War, the blue States of 2004 would still constitute a major superpower while the south would be a nation functioning at the ecoomic levels of some of the Warsaw Pact Nations today. In many ways it is almost a shame that these states have as great a say regarding the political climate of the entire nation. They provide so little and yet drain so much from the federal coffers. We may have been better off to have let them go their own way.

I could continue the fight but I sure wouldn't live here. I would miss it greatly, but I don't want to pay a dime of tax for this kind of shit:
