The day after the election, the ACLU had record breaking donations

This is from an email I got from them. I was one of the ones who joined that day.

"Even before the advertisement ran last Thursday (they are referring to a NYT ad they took out), the ACLU experienced our largest ever surge in online donations - more than 1,200 unsolicited gifts totaling more than $65,000 (an average of $54 per person) in one day."

1200 people donated to the ACLU online on the day after the election, a record for them.

Wow. I guess a lot of other people got the same idea!

Go ACLU!

2. lots of progressive organizations are going to need our help now.

I just received a NARAL solicitation (great timing on their part, actually--I'm definitely sending them something) I'm also sending more to the environmental groups I belong to. (Sort of like shoveling in a snow storm, but it beats doing nothing, IMO.)
