What a colassal thing it is that bush retains power

and that the world thinks the people of America wish it to be so.

This is a deeper tragedy than I had realized to date.

My God, a hidden, desperate battle may be raging this minute, for our democracy. If the bush gang is as evil as it evidently is, and if they value nothing above power - and they are swimming in it such that they can fix an election twice, then this could really be about much more than the next four years.

I hadn't quite realized the scope of what has happened.

Fucking bastards.

They lied.
Kerry fought fair.

They're still lying.

...to overtake us in this century are only in that position because they only recently became industrialized, or they suffered catastrophic damage to their infrastructure in WWI or WWII. Our ideas and vision for the future are antiquated and unsustainable. America has "jumped the Shark" and the last 4 seasons have been bloody awful. The cute little redhead kid is going to be brought on soon, and then it's all downhill. Bad one liners, a couple painfully overt efforts to be emotionally manipulative, the whole nine yards.

Well, I believe our slide into fascism will be complete if Bush gets past this final hurdle; the last crooked election. With the only apparent peaceful solution against this machine being moderate Republicans who might join our forces to out, then impeach the traitors in our midst, I'm more than a bit insecure.

These bastards are the real deal. And this is what it feels, looks, and sounds like to be subverted from the inside, just like any generic right wing coup in a far away country.

We'll need more than just Kerry and Edwards, I'm afraid. Bush and his fascist kind intend to control every aspect of this country, including the rights of its people, for a long, long time. They're not leaving.

This time gives only so many options and the clock is running. In fact, it represents our last hope.

Sorry for the pessimism, but at the moment, it appears to be reality based.
