The rudeness currently being posted about Cheney is not the same as refusing to stand up to the Republican machine. It's simply immature and unthoughtful.

Time to bite our tongues. I think it is OK to speculate about whether he resigns and to discuss how terrible a decision it was for * to "pick" Cheney in the first place given Cheney's previous medical history.

I cannot be NICE to him. He's just an evil man who doesn't seem to ever be nice to anyone, and he has earned the same treatment.

Personally, I have prayed that every Repuke who voted for * will feel the same pain they are inflicting on others. It's not that I wish harm to anyone; only that sometimes it takes pain to teach people empathy for others, and we live in a nation teeming with Repukes who have absolutely no concept of altruism. A little hurt can go a long way to remedy that.

Perhaps God is answering prayers. I believe it.

In a related tale, after the election my daughter was dreading her return to college due to one nasty Repuke in particular. My daughter is a calm, decent gal who doesn't normally wish harm on anyone. (Well, almost. At times her brothers would be the exception to that diplomatic demeanor.)

She has really struggled with this gal and her Repuke friends. This gal tore down all the posters my kids put up and complained to my kids after I dared speak to one of her friends about the draft. A real piece of work.

Last week as I pulled on campus a Life Flight helicopter was climbing on its way to a hospital. Turns out this girl had her arm hanging out her window, cruising away from school on a back road, when a tire hit some gravel and she rolled the car a half dozen times.

Some nursing students saved her life ( she would have bled out) and perhaps her arm. She won't be back til next semester.

WE didn't find out it was this girl til the next day. None of us cheered or gloated. But we did all agree her words of contempt and cruelty for the maimed Iraqis may have come back to haunt her.

I'm not happy she was hurt. I'm just saying don't go overboard the other way. It may be that "someone" hears our pleas and is meting out justice at last.

Cheney tells us he is would give it up and try to live a longer, happier life. Lord knows he doesn't have much time left and so much more left to do to screw the entire world out of their oil. Maybe he's not as smart as he thinks he is.

I did turn to my husband and tell him I thought this was the first step in installing Gulliani as the new Vice President.

The fact is, Nobody here likes the man. However, when I read some of the things that were being posted today, I couldn't believe it. It is horrible Karma, and totally inappropriate. Wishing death on someone isn't a very progressive mindset to have. There, I've said my peace, flame away.
