Poll question: Choose your Gileadean dress color

For those of you who have read/are reading/need to read The Handmaids' Tale...choose where you think you will be (where the Neocons will place you anyway)

Feel free to thrown in lively discourse. For you men, place where your partner will be!

Get the book and read it if you have not already. George Orwell was not the only scary read out there.

For reference, the first ballot cast was by myself. I am sure I would become an Unwoman.

Had no problem getting PG with first kiddo. I'd be subjected to some Repugnican's sword for impregnation.

Ever seen the film version? It was shot at Duke when I was an undergrad. Tricky because the gallows set in front of the chapel had to be timed so it wasn't up for a wedding (photos, you know).

Edited to say I'd rather be an un-woman, but think my fertility would do me in!

In fact, I'm going to have to revisit the book and movie now that you remind me. I do remember, however, that both chilled me to the core.
