Just cancelled my Newsweek subscription. Reason given: Why should I pay
to read government propaganda?
I already canceled my cable TV (still have cable network connection). If we don't do something that hurts them where it counts, it won't even register. I think all the "blues" (even those of us who must live in a "red" State) HAVE TO MAKE A STATEMENT and take a stand. Besides, it is such a relief... Bush's picture in the last issue of Newsweek was the straw that broke the camel's back for me.

I havent had cable for 5 years. I get all my news on the internet. What are you going to do with all of your free time now?

6. Read books I select. Be on the Internet. Work on my house. Write letters
I don't have enough hours in the day any more...

2. Will you get a refund?
I plan to cancel my subscription, too, but I did notice that it is somehow paid till 2006, I think. I'll cancel anyway but I was just wondering.

I also cancelled my subscription to the Austin American-Statesman due to their Idiot Boy endorsement and they know why. They're still delivering it -- I think they think I'll change my mind. I need to call them today and tell them to quit littering my driveway!

11. I had to immediately rip it off. There was a thread a week or two ago
about that. A lot of us riped the cover off. It was sickening to see.

12. Yes, to refund
This is Goddess40's mom. I canceled both Time and Newsweek and I have been a subscriber for over 10 years. Told them I wouldn't support corporate and White House dictated news any longer. Also said they have no true journalists, only shills for *. Said I would resubscribe when they mend their ways. They told me I would get a refund.

with my donation to NPR 3 years ago. They just kept sending it. I’ve cancelled mine recently as well, and mine was free!

5. I let my Newsweek subscription run out
Since I get most of my news from the internet I find myself reading traditional media less and less.

I've decided to keep the NY Times, tho. Not so much for the politics but the science articles, op-ed, and movie reviews.
