3. They drive cars
Use computers, fly in jets, want sophisticated military toys and yet they hate Science especially Global Warming and Evolution. I've noted this conundrum for years.

4. but their cars have silly pointless yellow ribbons on bumpers &
they hang crucifixes off their rear view mirrors. - now, that has to be symbolic somehow, don't you think?

6. The problem with relginion and science
Or the supposed conflict.

Both Religion and Science are created to answer different kinds of questions. They are both very good at answering questions within their own sphere. The trouble is that some practitioners of both want to use them to answer questions outside their sphere. For example some religious people use the Bible to "solve" scientific problems--with problemattic results. And some use Science to "solve" religious or philisophical problems, again with unsatisfying results.

Problems like "Does life have meaning?" Or "Does the Human Soul Exist?" Or "Were human beings created by a God?"

Hard for science to give a definitive answer to those questions.
