Call to ACTION!

Apparently, the Senator Nelson rumor about being on the Bush Cabinet has more substance than just rumor. We need to be involved on this. We can't continue to sit back and bitch about things if we're not going to get involved.

So...

CALL TO ACTION!!!

Call AND write your Democratic US Senators and US Representatives (strongly) urging them to convince Senator Nelson that it is not in the best interests of the country, the state of Nebraska, the Democratic Party and Senator Nelson to accept a Bush Cabinet position.

1) Senator Nelson can be more effective for his state of Nebraska by remaining in the Senate.

2) As a cabinet secretary...there are NO guarantees other than it will be the President who, in the end, makes the final decisions. This is complex ploy to flim-flam a reach across the aisle.

3) The opening left in the Senate will be an appointment by a Republican governor. Senator Nelson will not be able to go back and be the voice of the citizens of Nebraska that elected him. (enough said)

4) Democrats need to stand up and have a backbone on this one when the political knives get thrown with claims of being partisan/not working to unite the country/blah blah blah, etc. The argument should be that Senator Nelson is most effective as a US Senator serving in the position he was elected to by the good people of Nebraska.

This is another con job for Republicans to gain another seat in the Senate. Anyone else agree? So...if you do...ACT! ASAP!!!

Sticking together we will beat these bed-wetting bastids! And by communicating what we know, we will spread the Truth. That commodity is sorely lacking from our national discourse. It's also our most powerful weapon!

Should old Nelson take the offer, we'll know what side he's on. The BFEE crosses both sides of the aisle. In Spring 2001, Nelson was one carrying Bushwater regarding the tax cuts. So, he's a likely Quisling, to borrow a phrase...
