As for important -- who knows? I, for one, would shed no tears if the Confederacy wants to rise again and secede. I'm thinking it was a big mistake to oppose it in the first place.

Realistically, however, I don't think this "hidden treasure" is going to amount to anything in terms of major political implications. It WAS entertaining, though.

For decades, perhaps, to overthrow US government. They knew they'd need $$ and hid treasure, it seems, in a predictable pattern and style.

One guy seems to have figured out this long-lost cryptic code and is finding buried loot in many places.

It was an enthralling story.

I wonder how far back it really goes, and what permutations it might have taken later. Prior to the Civil War, many Northerners were convinced there was a "slave power conspiracy" at work. In the 20th century, could the KGC have transformed into the Dominionists? It's an interesting thing to think about. I wonder what Alex Jones has to say about it.
