.. because if they believed in evolution, or any other form of science, we could show them that every (well most every) other animal will forego saving their child's life in order to preserve their own life (as unheroic as that may seem). Law of averages suggests that it's more likely for the woman to have many opportunities to give birth in the future, than it is for the baby to reach adulthood.

Survival of the species, and isn't that what God was saying anyhow?

9. MANY species of birds (and some fish) will eat their young IF

threatened by outside influences. Including other members of their flock.

From intelligent parrots to bright Angelfish, they will kill off the young if they feel their world is threatened.

It's a funny ol' world.

whose health, ability to bear children in the future or possibly even her life are at risk, all for the sake of saving one fetus, no matter whether its a result of failed birth control, rape or incest, no matter what its health is (Down's Syndrome, hydrocephaly, profound spina bifida, heart defects, profound brain damage, profound physical deformities, you name it). All of those issues do not count. The preservation of the life of that fetus is paramount!
