I hear all this talk of moving to the right and its getting EXTREMELY frustrating. I have nothing against moderates. I acknowledge that most people aren't extreme either way but I don't want the official party platform to move to the right. There's no point in having two parties (which in itself is wrong as there should be a variety of viable parties) if their positions are so similar that you can't tell the difference. It's called an opposition party and point is to prove OPPOSITION not to role over to to try to be more like the majority party. We might as well have one party. Long live Democracy!
but there have been so many calls for the party to move to the right. I also don't see many of the Dems fighting. I know that they're in a bad position and they can't really do much but they can at least try to give the impression that they're fighting rather than rolling over. They've been tagged as obstructionists without that being true. I figure they might as well be obstructionists if that's what they're being accused of.
Contrary to many on board.I have a tough time seing any differences. They BOTH support BIG business and corportate donations. After the promotion of Harry Reid as OUR minority leader; I see ven less. He is PRO-LIFE and has a 40% voting record with ACLU.WHY should I support the party that no longer supports me?
Both are under the thumb of the monied interests of the corporations. The repugs are just more openly happy about it. The Dems are lining up to get their share of the pie.
