Why Democrats hate and fear me (barf bag alert).
This is from a board I visit. Thought you would enjoy the comedic value.

It would seem, upon initial inspection, that stating that the Democratic party fears me is an act of extraordinary hubris. The Democratic party does not hate me on a personal level, more that it hates the fact that I can exist, and, worse, vote.

They fear and loath me because I live in an urban area, surrounded by multi-culturalism, poverty, high-society, and all the other assumed benefits and detriments associated with that environment. I live here, yet I vote Republican.

I have spent a lot of time in foreign countries, I speak a foreigh language, and so I should be more open to international ideas and multi-lateral diplomatic efforts. And yet, I vote Republican and vocally support the President’s international agenda.

I went to a mixed race high school and saw the dangers of racism first hand - and yet I do not support bussing or affirmative action.

I have a college degree from a liberal arts university, and I vote Republican. I am educated beyond that - with a Masters Degree, educated much - and I, enlightened as the next gal, vote Republican.

I’ve lost friends in the war and watched one of my brothers go off to Iraq and come back deeply scarred, and yet I firmly support that war and I vote Republican.

I am a mother, and I vote Republican.

I am, obviously, female, and I vote Republican.

I go to church; I believe in the separation of Church and state, and I vote Republican.

I recycle, and engage in environmental preservation efforts in my community, and I vote Republican.

I’m active in the internet communities of gamers and bloggers, and I vote Republican and proclaim it proudly.

My best friends in the entire world are Democrats, and yet we agree to disagree every November, and I vote Republican.

I WANT stem cell research and legal abortion -- and I still vote Republican.

I believe in State's Rights - and LOCAL governement involvement in my day to day life . . . and I vote Republican.

Why does this list terrify Democrats? The Democratic party has clung to the belief that motivating young, educated, world traveling, female voters could save their party and win elections. They, even today, espouse the idea that education and political activism will bring people to their party. I represent a generation of young women who have listened to the ideas of both sides, examined, in depth, both party’s platforms, and made the educated open- minded decision to vote Republican. And that scares the Democratic party, because they have no idea how to stop millions of women from following in my footsteps.

George Bush scares me. PNAC scares me. Peak Oil scares me. Pat Robertson, Sick Rantorum, James "Spanky Booty" Dobson, and the Chalcedon Institute scare me. Rev. Moon scares me, Tim LaHaye scares me, and so does Al Gonzales.

Self-righteous women playing at "Dangerous Thinker" do not terrify me.

14. Democrats Don't Fear the Weak-Willed Minded...
...they fear the delusional weak-willed minded, who act, speak, look normal in order to operate in society!

75% of America's serial killers voted straight Republican, and most had that "girl/boy next door" look about them.

As we all know, the majority of these less-than-human creatures score above average intellectually, but their acts of violent, cold-blooded murdering of other human-beings bely that same intelligence as being anything remotely sane.

You cannot purport to be all the above, and then claim you vote Republican, other than to be so totally cut off from reality; so deeply, and thoroughly successful in self-delusion of one's view of oneself, that one's delusion has become said reality, however wrong, and deceptive it may be to the rest of the sane world.

The woman who claims the above, is insanely delusional, in my opinion!

28. Just proves the exception to the rule
even well educated, well traveled, so called worldly people can be stupid. Notice she doesn't state WHY she votes repuklican, just that she does.

How many of my own issues can I vote against? Let me count the ways.

1. She spends a lot of time in foreign countries and yet wants to continue to make those countries HATE AMERICA more.

2. She "says" she sees the dangers of racism and yet supports things that keep racism going.

3. She has a degree and Masters and claims to be "enlightened". I beg to differ and think she is one minded with no hope that the information she reads might change her mind on anything.

4. She has lost friends in the war and has a brother deeply scarred by the war and yet she supports the war without stating why. Apparently she doesn't care if soldiers including her brother die or are maimed.

5. She is a mother? Or did she say mutha? I wonder if she has thought about the future of her children with the rampant deficit, the economy, health care (never mind she has already proved that she does not care for other people), etc etc.

6. She is a female? Who cares, accident of birth.

7. She goes to church and believes in separation of church and state and yet she votes for a party and president who want the church to take over our government. And lets face it, lots of hypocrites go to church.

8. She recycles and is concerned about environmental issues and yet votes for the pResident and party who are raping the land.

9. She is active on the Internet and yet she votes for the pResident and party who will soon start trying to invade our privacy through the very computer she posted this crap on.

10. Her best friends are Democrats and yet they just agree to disagree. Soon she just might find that some of those friends of hers are getting tired of her ilk and the shit they spew.

11. She wants stem cell research and legal abortions and yet she is voting to ensure that scientific research is not expanded in stem cell research and that a challenge to Roe V. Wade is sure to come.

12. She believes in States Rights and local involvement in her day to day life. Wait until she sees just how "INVOLVED" in her day to day life they want to be.

I suggest that the title to her piece should be "LET ME SHOW YOU HOW STUPID I AM"

An entire nation proudly claiming that they vote for a party that outright denounces every single one of her pet issues? She comes down on the Republican side of talking-point policies, but yet is for every single one of the Democratic ideals. For abortion, stem-cell research, seperation of church and state, small government, environmentalism...but yet she votes against all of that. She basically admits, "Ha-ha! I am educated on the issues, but I choose to vote contrary to them! I know why I shouldn't vote Republican, but I do!"

The only bright spot is that she'll be pretty damn confused when all the things she "wants" and "is for" are all either illegalized or ignored in four years.

she votes Republican. If I were going to make a post about my voting choices I'd give lots of reasons for my decision. She does not give one, which implies that, for all of her "education", she still has not learned to think. How sad.

64. Well, first of all, she's just stupid.
Being a Republican is not bad. Being a radical right-wing nut job is bad. So even if she believes in separation of church and state, conservation, blah blah blah, that doesn't mean she has to support the Republican candidates, who this year were largely RW nut jobs. That's why plenty of Republicans voted Democratic this year.

What bewilders me is that after losing people in the war, she still supports it, and that she WANTS (she even capitalized the word!) stem cell research and legal abortion, yet she votes for these nut jobs.

I don't fear and loathe this woman. She's one person who has the gall to say she represents millions of women who won't do as non-Repukes want. This list doesn't terrify me. Especially since I know that millions of free-thinking women will NOT follow in this idiot's footsteps.

68. The thing is,
I know many people who vote Republican because they have no true set of moral values, but show nothing but intolerance for many foreigners (especially if they're hispanic), make a lot of money for which they would rather not "share" with the weak, poor and helpless, and believe in the Repuke NON-ethic that everyone should take care of themselves. You can't be a Democrat unless you have compassion, unless you can stick up for those who can not stick up for themselves and fervently believe that regardless of circumstance of birth, everyone is pretty much all the same on the inside.

Repukes like to think they're superior to others, even if those "others" are only one step away from themselves. In one way, it explains a lot about the attitude of many in this country: if the only difference between you and the next guy is the color of your skin, then you are superior because you are white and they are black. This sort of racist overview is prevalent in a lot of poor areas of our country, and why, even though the repuke agenda is going against all their better interests, it's why so many vote for the puke assholes. Regardless of any other circumstance, any other issue, any other point of view, voting repuke and pretending somehow that you are "better" than your neighbor is their only way of feeling "morally" better than anyone else.

72. hope she makes a heck of a lot of money
since both grants and fed backed student loans are being cut - and due to the huge deficits run up by the folks she votes for - these are going to be tiny, if they exist at all, when her kids go to college.

since the newest round of tax cuts being pushed are likely to result in her company (or her husband's company) cutting all health insucrance benefits - they need to either have enough to self insure (7,000 to 10,000 that they didn't have to pay before) - or put a hell of a lot aside for medical emergencies.

since her or hubbies job is increasingly more subject to outsourcing as more and more fields find themselves targetted.

since social security is likely to be scaled back, and not kick in until she is older than the current retirement age.

Hope she makes a heck of a good living... and doesnt live with credit card debt - or ever risk bankruptcy in the face of unexpected emergencies...

I am a mother, and I vote Republican.

Tell your kids to have fun in Baghdad.

I am, obviously, female, and I vote Republican.

So, you're ready to go back to the days of hoopskirts, corsets, and an era where you aren't even ALLOWED to vote?

I go to church; I believe in the separation of Church and state, and I vote Republican.

Sure, I bet. So Dubya ISN'T Gawd, right? Only trouble is, you're in the minority of his support, toots. About three-fourths of his backers believe he's a man of Gawd.

I recycle, and engage in environmental preservation efforts in my community, and I vote Republican.

Big fucking deal. Basically, you cancel out the first action with the second. Voting Republican hands those big polluters carte blanche to do what they want.

I’m active in the internet communities of gamers and bloggers, and I vote Republican and proclaim it proudly.

Well whoop-de-freakin-do. There are lots of wingnut bloggers and gamers. Don't consider yourself special.

My best friends in the entire world are Democrats, and yet we agree to disagree every November, and I vote Republican.

I'm sure. If you're like every other Bushie, you HAVE no friends.

I WANT stem cell research and legal abortion -- and I still vote Republican.

Then be prepared to have your reproductive rights taken away, as well as having science stymied in favor of "Bible science." But hey, Dubya's a good ol' boy, right?

I believe in State's Rights - and LOCAL governement involvement in my day to day life . . . and I vote Republican.

So? Repukes are big into the "state's rights" thing--except when it comes to the laws those states pass. Oh, right...I'm sure you're just the typical Republican who claims to like big government.

There's no use trying to reach out to someone who is willingly blind.

EDIT: And don't think that Democrats fear you--unless that's how you get yourself off or something. Trust me--we have better things to think about than ignorant young women who vote against their own interests because they've been ordered to do so.

111. There are a lot of Bush worshipers on the net like this:
They claim to be moderate because of their socially liberal (or relatively liberal) views but they're very far to the right on economic and foreign policy matters. Almost every popular right wing blogger I've heard of or read on the net fits this description (think Glen Reynolds, aka Instapundit).

But they're just as delusional as their "I believe in Bush because he has the same religious views that I do" siblings. They think the war in Iraq is going just fine or even fantastically and that the economy is "about to start booming". They also believe that the Religious Right poses no threat whatsoever. They're in for a nasty surprise in that regard.

If there ever was a set of people who deserved to be called elitists, it's people that think just like this woman.
