Bush co to start major propaganda campaign on Iraq.
In order to form a more perfect puppet nation, from which they can rape and pillage the people of Iraq. In order to suck the nation dry of oil and reward their major campaign benefactors Halliburton, Bechtel, MCI (World Com) et. al. with overpriced contracts paid for by the US taxpayers and Iraqi resources and to save Bush's butt in 2004 the Bushies vow their sacred honor (whoops that was gone a long time ago) to lie, disinform the world, and kill anyone in Iraq who opposes them, while calling the dead terrorists.

It's back to business as usual now that summer vacation is over.

Remember how in January they dragged the country from 70% against the war to 70% for the war with one of their propaganda campaigns?

They plan to do the same now.

Here is the article:

GOP aide: Bush plans 'campaign-style' drive for support on Iraq

According to the GOP congressional leadership aide, the president said the White House will "seriously ramp up the public relations effort" to counter Democratic criticism of the administration's Iraq policy.

Bush promised a "campaign style" drive to bolster public support in which "we're going to say exactly why we're in Iraq," according to the aide.

Now I post to mixed boards a lot, and I've noticed that when we have a lot of progressives posting to the mixed boards, somehow that keeps the media from being Rove's poodle as much. Maybe it inspires people to write to the editors (which is a good idea too).

I recommend regularly finding a busy mixed message board and hammering away.

We already are down to to working half time on national issues here in CA. We need others to take up the slack on Bush and Iraq. The freaking Rovians started the recall just to get some of the heat off Bush so they can slip in their lies again. Please don't let them win.

"Why is this 'campaign style drive to bolster public support' different from every other 'campaign style drive to bolster public support'?"

3. These morons just don't get it, do they???
They still have no clue about other nations and people. They use the same sophomoric, idiot assumptions (you now, flowers thrown at tanks 'cause that's what they did in WWII and in the movies of WWII---that was Europe, for Christ's sake). And here they go again. Just get yourself a batch of media whores like we have in the US of A and bullshit propaganda into those terds 24/7. Tell them they ARE joyous at our liberation and that THEY shall want whatever we tell them they shall want. And not one asshole, even says, "hey dude, without the fucking power on, how do you intend to reach them??" No don't spend the time and effort on getting them real needs like food, water, electricity----try to fucking bullshit them just like their great success here with the American sheep. Only these people aren't sheep and hate goes all the way to the bone. Let's write letters and tell Bush to send our brigade of media whores. We have to suffer listening to them. In Iraq they probably would just blow them up to shut them up!!!!

7. My question is,
what can they possibly say now? Not even the most creative person could come up with anything positive to say at this point.

Other than all the Iraqis haven't been killed. Or there are a few palm trees still standing in Baghdad.

If they plan to push Bush's face into overdrive, TV viewers will seriously start to lose their dinner. He's like a broken record. They don't even need to record new photo-ops. Just replay any of the thousands we've been exposed to.

8. are you kidding me? There are TONS of images you can use
and sounds. We're talking TV commercials here.

The sound of TAPS, slow motion footage of fiery bombs, a superimposed image of the "evil eyes" of Saddam Hussein ... more slo mo footage of our brave boys in action .... With a voiceover saying something like "our men fought bravely ... to free a land .... from a brutal dictator ....." Quick images of Qusay and Ouday holding up guns, lighting cigars with $100 bills, quick shots of torture chambers ....

etc. etc. etc.

Until we see a telephoto shot, through the dust and the haze, of tired-looking soldiers walking toward the camera, a flag waving triumphantly behind them (superimposed over the sky) ......

"and now ... our heroes are coming home ...."

Okay, well they're not REALLY coming home, not yet, but they're GONNA come home ....
