41 years ago today, Dan Rather was in Dealy Plaza and saw the aftermath
He was stationed just past the triple underpass, through which Kennedy never drove.

Is it an odd coincidence that he'd quit TODAY? He supposedly scrambled up the embankment and saw the immediate aftermath of the the shooting, even though he didn't hear the shots.

A bit weird, eh?

We know he's been brought to heel by the successful assault against the TANG documents--that STILL haven't been proved to be forgeries, and indeed may well be copies of authentic originals--and he's been forced out. Pressure brought to bear against Sumner Redstone (who's angling for increased media ownership) is the cause for this "voluntary retirement", make no mistake about it.

Could this be a "don't mess with me" signal from Rather? Being where he was, he may very well have seen E. Howard Hunt and Frank Sturgis, but who knows...

1. yep or he may decide to do what others are doing
taking on editorial posts where they can actually say what they need to say

Don't think so, but oh well
