1. Well, one has to admit ....
that that kind of Board or Education makes a valid point for devolution.

How can we be evolving when stupidity takes the helm?

3. The Surgeon General has determined that the Bible can be dangerous
for your mental health, and has proven to be deadly for non-believers.

4. Selective biblical memory...
Our friendly creationists, "marriage defenders," and book-banners somehow overlooked all that biblical talk of peace, justice, honesty, and other "liberal" ideas to push the religious text's primary agenda: People could not have come from apes.

I mean, you get that, and you basically got everything the bible has to say.

5. We did not evolve from Apes.
Humans branched off from the same root stock. Minor point, I know. But we need to keep our facts straight

7. I'm a product of the Cobb County School system....
This is something that we didn't have a problem with in 1993, when I graduated high school. Hell, we couldn't have cared less as students. It's amazing how things have changed since then.

Cobb County is a suburban refuge for a lot of VERY RICH doctors, lawyers, and soccer moms: they mostly live in east Cobb County, which is the most politically influential part of the county, and this is where this stupid shit is coming out of.

In Georgia, the school systems are separated between city and county; Marietta, the county seat, has a completely separate and independent system from the county itself. Marietta used to be somewhat liberal, due to the "white flight" that left all the "undesirables" within the city limits. It now has a conservative mayor, and is going down the toilet also.

And to think I actually drove 20 minutes through Atlanta rush hour traffic each day just to go to a Cobb County school, even though I lived in the middle of Marietta... my mother was under the impression that the county schools were better...

It's really a damn shame what has happened to my hometown and surrounding areas; these bastards have taken over everything.

Sometimes I can't help but think that Sherman should have stuck around a bit longer and totally gone Carthage on that damn state...

I used to say a joke around my family that, now, seems to ring more and more true each day:

The only good things to ever come out of Georgia were MLK, Jimmy Carter, Ray Charles, and me.
