Camps banding together - my Meetup story
Not a very long story, but worth noting.

Last night at our Dean Meetup (25 people, biggest one yet), two people who support Kucinich showed up. VERY nice people.

They said they wanted to see what the story was behind the Dean camp, and we remarked that "no matter which candidate gets the nomination, we'll all be on the same team after that". That brought full applause.

They will be attending our Dean fundraiser on the 13th, and it looks like they're joining our meetups full-time. No word on their votes, but we urged them to vote their conscience in the primary. If they felt DK was the man, go for it. Sure, we nudged 'em towards Howard, but no full-court sales pitch.

They did say that they were so relieved to be in a room full of people against Bush.

1. How about a Meetup for Jeff?
I could sign up, even if I don't make it.

2. We have those...
....all the supporters of my campaign gather every day at 530.

But I like to call it "dinner with my wife and daughter".

3. You ought to go shake down the AFL-CIO for $ after that Labor Day show
The head of the Ohio AFL-CIO was there. I think his name was Bill Burga. I'll bet he would remember you.
