If someone shows you one of those "almost all red" US maps...
...look at it with amazement and say:

"Wow! It's almost like a Soviet flag!"

Had this reply waiting for eons and finally got to use it:

"Well practically the whole country's in red."
"Last time I checked, dumbass, it was 'one man, one vote', not 'one acre, one vote'".

He shut up after that.

Mostly

On Edit: Frickling splelling misakes.

4. and also..
One line of Diebold code - one extra vote for Bush.

One minority disenfranchised - one less vote for the Democrat.

5. Has anyone tried this?
For Bush supporters in Blue states, has anyone asked them why they even bother to live in a blue state when their values would be so much better served in a red state? It would help then if you could line up certain statistics -- per capita income, education level, IQ scores, etc -- in your blue state as compared to, say, that great red state of Mississippi. Not that I have anything against Mississippi, mind you. But I live in CT where we ARE smarter, better educated, have the highest percapita income in the entire country, and one of the lowest divorce rates.

Just read on AOL that of the 25 safest cities in the U.S., 20 are in blue states, only 5 are in red states. The city rated no. 1? Newton, MA (right outside of ultraliberal Boston!). Of the 25 most dangerous cities 15 were in red states and only 10 in blue states.

I've learned that you have to keep smirking the entire time you pull one of these routines. It gives these rightwingers a taste of their own medicine and they really do shut up fast, because they just can't take it even tho they love dishing it out.

10. Sou sim.
Yes I am.

Portuguese nitpicks:

"foto" is only for photographs. For man-made images we use "imagem". And it's a feminine noun.

Seu = Yours. Você = You.

Revised version: "Gosto da sua imagem do país. Você é Brasileiro?"

Pardon my anal-retentivity. :hi:

11. No problem
I speak fairly decent portugese, at least we would be able to communicate fairly well. I am terrible when I try to write in portugese. I was suppose to be in Brasil this month but my travel plans got interupted. I go to Parana, at least once a year for a month. I asked about you being Brasilian before I checked your profile because I was surprised to see someone on here from Brasil.

nice meeting you

17. Yesterday....
I got some data that said that contrary to popular belief, about roughly 45% of the "red" states voted blue.
I was in shock.
Bush was in serious trouble before the first vote was cast.
He did NOT win this election.
