Conservative Synonym: Liberal = Anti-Jesus
I've been reading and listening to Conservative opinion for many years. They constantly bash "liberal" teachers and I mean constantly. I never truly "got" why they seem so irrationally and disgustingly hateful and angry about it.

Just now I was in the LBN section reading the article about the CA teacher who's in trouble for passing on to his students snipets from the Declaration of Independence and other historical documents that refer to God as part of his agenda to teach religion.

And it hit me.

The right-wing nutjobs who have hijacked our country have been teaching their followers that "liberal" teachers and "liberal" schools mean teachers and schools that typically keep religion out of education. They want Jesus incorporated into the educational system.

Now that these people are in power, I bet we will see a lot more stories of teachers using the classroom as a pulpit. They feel brave now.

I'd be willing to bet my house that infiltrating the school system is all part of the master plan by these freaks and has been for some time.

1. The right wing has been advocating..
..for its members to get on school boards since the 1980s.

10. Another constant, repeated argument by them is against
"liberal judges." I've heard it for years from the extreme RW fundies. Could that also be their synonym for judges who don't incorporate Jesus into our judicial system? All this time I thought when they called Judges liberal they meant "too lenient", or something stupid. I would even get into arguments with them telling them that liberal has nothing to do with a judge making a harsh or lenient decision. They never seemed to "get it." But maybe it was me that wasn't "getting it" because it never occurred to me that their argument could have religous undertones. Looking back, those arguments were always with people who were right-wing talking point robots.

Scary scary scary.

11. one _true_leroy, your right there. Last month my grand daughter came home
from school (9th grade) and said one of her teacher said "Kerry believes in killing babies" in 2000 the another grandchild told me that her (5th grade) teacher said "Gore believes in killing babies" These teachers are scary. Their religious beliefs and political beliefs are being forced on our children and I don't like it. IF I hear one more time that a teacher has twisted the truth or lied by forcing their beliefs on my grand children I WILL see them in court. I've had enough of this crap.

4. The School Boards
will be the next target in "liberal" areas of the country. My own small city has a long history of highly supportive local school governance. Now, in just one school board election, right wing conservative nut jobs have taken over and the school district is in turmoil. The best people are leaving and the board is simply paving the way for vouchers, religous and other private schools. What a nightmare in New Hampshire!

9. I thought it was
the other nutjob Dr. Boob Jones the Turd who said that? But hey it makes no difference. One religious fundy is as nut as the next.

7. Ok, here is the antidote.
Michael Aquin0 is a NeoCon strategist.
He is also the head of the Temple of Set,
the latest and greatest incarnation of the Church of Satan.

Why aren't the Fundies concerned about that?
Values, anyone?
