Walmarts in Canadian province to be unionized.
Walmart lost in court on Tuesday. But they arn't going down without a fight.

The Saskatchewan Court of Appeal ruled Tuesday the retail giant must hand over certain documents to the Labour Relations Board.

One item is called "A Manager's Toolbox to Remaining Union Free."

2. Walmart vs the UN?
Edited on Thu Nov-25-04 01:08 AM by DulceDecorum
I thought that one of the UN charters said something about the right to unionize.
How can Walmart pull an al qaeda on that?

Ooops, my mistake,
Article 22 of
The United Nations
INTERNATIONAL COVENANT ON CIVIL AND POLITICAL RIGHTS
and Article 8 of
The United Nations
INTERNATIONAL COVENANT ON ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL RIGHTS
do say that one has the right to form and join a trade union,
BUT,
the Idiotic Act and is Coalition counterparts
have taken that right away.

Sam Walton has declared fatwa
on the people who work day and night to swell his coffers.

Court Upholds Subpoena of Canada Wal-Mart Evidence

November 23, 2004

The Saskatchewan Labor Board (SLRB) was within its rights when it subpoenaed Wal-Mart to hand over evidence that outlines the company’s anti-union strategies, according to today’s ruling by the Saskatchewan Appeal Court. The appeal court’s ruling in favor of the SLRB strikes down an earlier decision made by the lower court in July.
