Technicians leak info about vote rigging - Saudi money behind it

Online Journal Contributing Writer

November 25, 2004—According to informed sources in Washington and Houston, the Bush campaign spent some $29 million to pay polling place operatives around the country to rig the election for Bush. The operatives were posing as Homeland Security and FBI agents but were actually technicians familiar with Diebold, Sequoia, ES&S, Triad, Unilect, and Danaher Controls voting machines. These technicians reportedly hacked the systems to skew the results in favor of Bush.

The leak about the money and the rigged election apparently came from technicians who were promised to be paid a certain amount for their work but the Bush campaign interlocutors reneged and some of the technicians are revealing the nature of the vote rigging program.

There have been media reports from around the country concerning the locking down of precincts while votes were being tallied. In one unprecedented action in Warren County, Ohio, election officials locked down the facility where votes were being counted. The officials said this was in response to a Level 10 high-threat terrorist warning being issued by the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI for Warren County. George Bush won 72 percent of the vote in Warren County, much larger than his percentage of victory statewide.

5. The author doesn't have much of a record.
He worked for the Navy until '82 and then ... what? Where's the journalism experience?

It would be nice to think this was true, but it has "lone nut" written all over it.

But it is thorough and detailed - althought what facts it carries that are not already in the public domain are not second-sourced.

Going back for a re-read.

9. His "story" is all about a reported scandal
The "new" stuff at the front is utterly unsupported. This is not sensible, reliable or responsible journalism. It all floats free of specifics, dates, names, times, details, FACTS.

I'm not denying something might have gone on, but it isn't going to be revealed by shoddy, speculative reporting. Breaking something like this is HARD WORK.

8. Until a story like this gets reported in the mainstream, it;s just that
Edited on Thu Nov-25-04 05:36 PM by SoCalDem
a story..

Anyone who roams the net knows that lots of it is opinion and loosely connected facts,,

When the "insiders" talk to , and name names...on 20/20 or the Today show, or CNN the story could take wing, but until then it;s just a "cross your fingers, and hope it pans out" story..much like the 60 minutes memo story.

7. If it pans out it is breathtaking!!
I hope some of our crack researchers get their teeth into it, as the bar for credibility has to be very high.

(I've become pretty "gun-shy" of something that looks so promising.)

From what I read on the attached threads, though, it certainly walks like a duck.

15. This, on its face at least, does not pass my smell test
This quote, in particular, seems to smell more like fish than most of it ......

"The leak about the money and the rigged election apparently came from technicians who were promised to be paid a certain amount for their work but the Bush campaign interlocutors reneged and some of the technicians are revealing the nature of the vote rigging program."

Am I to believe that after spending $29M they're gunna welch on a few bucks to a few "operatives" and risk them leaking ...... uh .... I don't think so.

Also, I cannot think for a moment that there would be this small army of government impersonators out there and they would trust that they had it sufficiently locked down that not one of them would be uncovered or found out and that none of them would talk ... or even let something slip? Kinda hard to imagine, particularly given the stakes, yanno?
