What do the newbies know?
I'm impressed with the knowledge so many new people at DU have.

Welcome all.

I'm curious how many of you have heard about Operation Northwoods, before you came here.

You might find this important in the discussion of 9/11 as a possible inside job. Please discuss.

Friendly Fire Book: U.S. Military Drafted Plans to Terrorize U.S. Cities to Provoke War With Cuba

<
article: <http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/news/20010430 > /

SNIP...."April 30, 2001 SNIP.."In his new exposé of the National Security Agency entitled Body of Secrets, author James Bamford highlights a set of proposals on Cuba by the Joint Chiefs of Staff codenamed OPERATION NORTHWOODS. This document, titled “Justification for U.S. Military Intervention in Cuba” was provided by the JCS to Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara on March 13, 1962, as the key component of Northwoods. Written in response to a request from the Chief of the Cuba Project, Col. Edward Lansdale, the Top Secret memorandum describes U.S. plans to covertly engineer various pretexts that would justify a U.S. invasion of Cuba. These proposals - part of a secret anti-Castro program known as Operation Mongoose - included staging the assassinations of Cubans living in the United States, developing a fake “Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington,” including “sink a boatload of Cuban refugees (real or simulated),” faking a Cuban airforce attack on a civilian jetliner, and concocting a “Remember the Maine” incident by blowing up a U.S. ship in Cuban waters and then blaming the incident on Cuban sabotage. Bamford himself writes that Operation Northwoods “may be the most corrupt plan ever created by the U.S. government.”...."

1. I am a relative newbie even with 800 + posts.
Yes I have heard of Northwoods before I came here. I am also convinced the neo-cons are a new version of neo-fascist with world wide designs similar to Marxist.

3. They've gotta be the worst Marxists I've ever seen.

5. Sorry but...
... I've read Marx and they are doing what Marx loathed the most, giving to the upper class while taking away from the working class.

6. True enough
I might have said Soviet Stalinist style Marxism, which did create an elite ruling class. I am sure the Neo-cons have read Marx and have figured out a response.

yes I am familiar with this subject.

Clicking on the two links at the bottom of your post, I got error messages for both; may be my computer but you might want to check the links.

4. Vintage Tin Foil Hat Stuff
Many of us here are novice tin foil hatters who have only been at it since the election.
To better frame this discourse and bring it into perspective I offer this link (http://www.hermes-press.com/Voting/vote_rig.htm) by the late Dr. Norman Livergood concerning the danger of electronic manipulation of voting.
Dr. Livergood had been at this stuff so long that he died with gold brocade on his tin foil hat and golden tin foil epaulets on his shoulders.

This link has expired. If you just try to go directly to it you will only get 404 page not found.
You must first go to www.archive.org and then paste in the link.

This is a REALLY GOOD read!
