Is a great American his books are illuminating and he is a tireless champion of moral foriegn policy. If you want to do one thing to understand the dynamics of foriegn policy I would suggest read Noam Chomsky

Noam is a truly courageous individual. Out of all the academics I have known, he is the only one that truly stands up and says what america doesn't want to hear but needs to.

Unfortunately, if you watch "Manufacturing Consent", you'll see how the corporate-owned media have frozen him out of public discourse. It's sickening that our media conglomerates--who talk about freedom of the press--refuse to hear from someone who doesn't fit their neat-and-tidy, 30-second soundbite criterium. It's sickening.
