What is happening to me?
Since the election I have started listening to classical music and I have never particularly cared for classical music. Can anyone explain? Do I need counseling?

3. Four weeks of classical music eh. . .
. . . Try switching to a country western station and see what your reaction is. Then come back and tell us which you like better, classical or CW.

5. Well, if you need counseling then so
would I, as I've loved classical music since I was little, even before I began taking piano lessons. Don't worry, just ENJOY IT You're in for some real treats as you discover more and more classical gems.

6. Not surprising
I used to volunteer for a classical station in Portland, and after 9/11, the station was deluged with calls from listeners expressing their thanks for the calming effects of classical music. The next pledge drive was one of the best ever.

8. If you're havin' trouble with your high school head
He's givin' you the blues
You wanna graduate but not in 'is bed <...but not in his debt>
Here's what you gotta do -
Pick up the phone
I'm always home
Call me any time
Just ring
36 24 36 hey <36 24 36 8>
I lead a life of crime

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
Dirty Deeds and they're Done Dirt Cheap

You got problems in your life of love
You got a broken heart
(She's) He's double dealin' with your best friend
That's when the teardrops start - fella
Pick up the phone
I'm here alone
Or make a social call
Come right in
Forget about him
We'll have ourselves a ball

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
Dirty Deeds and they're Done Dirt Cheap

If you got a lady and you want her gone
But you ain't got the guts
She keeps naggin' at you night and day
Enough to drive you nuts -
Pick up the phone
Leave her alone
It's time you made a stand
For a fee
I'm happy to be
Your back door man

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
Dirty Deeds and they're Done Dirt Cheap

Concrete shoes, cyanide, TNT
Done Dirt Cheap
Neckties, contracts, high voltage
Done Dirt Cheap

I don' know what it is but this kind of classic music brings out the best in me!!:headbang:

9. I Went Through A Classical Phase
especially soothing in winter.

I've been enjoying the Sirius Music Disorder channel since the election, for hours everyday. Music is healing...

11. I've been listening to
Beethoven, Mozart, the Cramps, the Ramones, the Who, John Coltrane and Charlie Mingus and Mott the Hoople.

I'm healing but I want to smash some things as well.

12. Beethoven Was a Crazed Rock Star
before his time. Listen to the fourth movement of the 5th Symphony if you don't believe me.

Or the first movement of the Emperor, Piano Concerto #5.

Rock star. Even had the hair.

14. Beethoven was god man.
Almost burned the 3rd Symphony when he found out Napoleon had crowned himself emperor of France.

A republican (in the right sense) to his boots.

13. Switched to classical
about one year after Dumbya took over the first time. Don't know why, but it just seems the right stuff for my soul. Switch between that, NPR and classic rock when in the car.

15. I listen to classical music every morning from 8:20 - 9 am and found that
it's a soul provoking and learning experience.

My favorite station is WCRB 102.5 FM Boston, oh the sweet voice of Laura
Carlo. From 8 am First 15 minutes I listen to WBUR/NPR 90.9 FM Boston and then switch to WCRB all the way driving to work. it's a wonderful daily rountine.

16. Like Duke Ellington said
There are only two types of music - good music and bad music.
the rest is just marketing.

17. Ride Of The Valkyries
Hitler loved to hear this song by Wagner while watching newsreels of his Blitzkrieg...

Interestingly, when the "Coalition" started their massacre of Fallujah, this is one of the songs they blared through the loudspeakers...

I'll bet Rumsfeld loves it and Fox News plans to use it for another musical montage of an aerial bombing campaign...

Hell is too good of a place for these cretins...
