Seriously Mississppi is bad but Alabama is so much worse
We have all the same types of dumbasses they do but not as many.

Mississippi is actually getting a bit more liberal, places like Oxford and the coast are harvesting a new bunch of intelligent progressives. Lots of really great people are moving here too, my Ole Miss professors were generally brilliant and totally liberal, I loved it.

We have racist idiots but in just the last few years I go to my home town and now I see white and black kids hanging out all the time, that just was not the case when I was in high school.

Also I was glad to see us in the gray coloumn for longer than any other southern state on election night, made me feel like I made some difference.

Anyway after reading about the assholes in Alabama deciding to keep pro-segregation language in their laws I just had to post something.

Mississippi, we are better than Alabama.

4. Ah, Sorry
I hope Mississippi and Alabama drown in their own hatred. I'd rather visit N. Korea than those two states.

2. Oxford MS, home of Fat Possum Records. Can't wait to watch this one.
I know a couple of Alabama users who will be visiting here soon. I don't like the red-blue/blue-red arguments but I guess red-red/blue-blue is ok (kind of like football rivalries). Which of these two states draged it's heels on kindergarten?

5. I am proud to say my dad, who is white, marched with MLK
when he was 13 years old.

We have plenty of idiots but we definitely breed some amazing people here:

William Faulkner, Tennessee Williams, Oprah, Elvis, Alice Walker, the list goes on and on.

I have a theory that they are diamonds in the rough, smart folks here have to deal with so much adversity that they become that much more brilliant and important.
