Turk Compares U.S. to Hitler
Man, check this out:

'... The head of Turkey's parliamentary human rights group has accused Washington of genocide in Iraq and behaving worse than Adolf Hitler, in remarks that underscore the depth of Turkish opposition to U.S. policy in the region.

"Never in human history have such genocide and cruelty been witnessed. Such a genocide was never seen in the time of the pharaohs nor of Hitler nor of Mussolini," Italy's World War II-era fascist leader, Elkatmis said.' http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/la-fg-turkey27nov27,0,1291574.story?coll=la-home-world

Oh, I know all the arguments, Bush, Cheney, Halliburton, oil, etc. etc. etc., but the irony of a Turkish guy comparing Bush to Hitler and saying that this is the worst genocide in history... Pardon me while my Armenian heritage LAUGHS ITS FUCKING ASS OFF.

1. How would we know? It's not like US corporate media reports news..
How many civilians were massacred in Fallujah LAST April?

How many civilians were massacred in the invasion of Panama in '89?

How many civilians have been massacred by US trained terrorists in Central America during the 1980's?

4. Welll..........
Not in the millions, to be sure.

I think the best estimate of Iraqi casualties is somewhere around 25,000-30,000. (the 100,000 figure doesn't seem to hold water).

2. Hah!
That's rich coming from the Turks. What did Hitler say? "Who remembers the Armenians?"

Not to mention their none-too-subtle campaign against the Kurds.

5. I'm telling you,
sooner or later, it needs to happen. I'm talking about dividing Iraq along lines that actually make sense (Sunni/Shi'a/Kurd). I got a feeling that no-one would give much of a damn (provided the Sunnis don't get screwed over http://slate.msn.com/id/2109620/ ), except for the Turks, who'll raise one HELL of a stink over any notion of a free Kurdistan.

3. The instant I read you headline
I thought that takes a lot of balls. What about the Kurds today or the Turks giving the 20th Century the first taste of genocide. Hell I wonder how many Greeks they killed that had lived for centuries in Turkey during and after the Grecco-Turkish War.
