"EVERY REAL FREEPER IS LOYAL TO OUR LEADER" As found on FR.
To: George Frm Br00klyn Park
Now there's a brilliant way to purge all the libbies posing as FReepers...

I will say this once so listen good: EVERY REAL FREEPER IS LOYAL TO OUR LEADER.

This means no questions asked. It's like being loyal to the spirit and not to the flesh - the spirit is pure the flesh is corupt. So even if something sounds wrong to your ears, you have to keep faith that the "higher powers" know the right thing to do.

But this is basic and I don't need to explain this to the real FReeps. Just something for you libbies to understand why are no longer welcome here.

Mods - I strongly suggest you take this opportunity to tombstone all of the uncloseted libbies who got their panties in a wad about this.

8. In all fairness...
I must say, mindful of our fellow humans,
the MAJORITY of the posts on that thread, which I have just
read, could have been posted here, by DUERs.
There are certain aspects of our concerns as human beings that
are NON-partisan. Our love and desire for our children's
well-being and safety are universal, not a "left" or "right" issue.
We need to consider EVERY common ground as
an opportunity to educate and enlighten others.
That is our ONLY hope.
I consider this catastrophe a window to open discussion with
out fellow Americans.
SINCERELY,
BHN

12. Yes, but that poster was ONE in 169 posts...
therefore, he/she/it did NOT represent the majority
sentiment, and the majority sentiment, with the exception of
one other "moran" was IDENTICAL to ours on this subject.

I have volunteered in the Federal Prison System for years-
one of the PRIMARY crowd control tactics in that system
is to foster and perpetuate HATE between groups of people.
One of the primary tactics the group I am involved with is
to help people understand that they are being manipulated
by that tactic, and that deep down, all people share
common concerns, the love for their children is one.

The fact is, the Bush administration is going to try to
damge all of us in areas that we share common concerns.
This is only the start, this "Freedom" mental health screening thing.
We need to work together as Americans, and as this picture
unfolds, that will become more evident.
"THEY" are going to say no to many of the same issues that we
are. Mark my words.

33. Not wise at all-
But thanks for saying you think so.
I simply see that WE as a people are going
to HAVE to shift away from the thinking that we
are different. There are certainly differences in
the way we see the world, but was this country
not founded on tolerance?
What people have failed to grasp on BOTH
sides is there is no longer two parties. As witnessed
by the DEMs complance with this horrific legislation.
We are ALL equally in danger and we need to
come together- strength in numbers and all that.
I am willing to allow anyone their beliefs, and certainly
hope they respect mine. But all this vitriolic spewing
between people is not going to help ANY of us
under the corpoRATS that plan to destroy us all.
It is to their advantage that we are divided.
The sooner people understand the manipulation,
the sooner we can come together, and it will take
EVERY person in this country to fight the evil that
has covered us all.
We can not afford to hate each other.
We are all on the Titanic together and it's
time to sink or swim. If we keep bickering,
we are going to miss the lifeboat.

This thread is about an unreasonable one. It is an examination of the pathological. You don't need to apologize for jumping on the bandwagon. We're not making fun of the reasonable ones on that FR thread. We're making fun of this one,and the thinking behind it. And while it's something that a more spiritual person wouldn't do,and bless Be Here Now for it,I'm enjoying it. I have created fire! It is unfortunate though that often the more reasonable threads, deserving of examination, sink like stones.

However the proposed solutions were just as frightening as the problem.

More conservative judges being one.

Now I do understand the glimmer of hope that you find in the responses and even agree that the alarm shown is similar to what we find here on DU... but the level of ignorance seems impenatrable IMO.

22. Agreeeeeeeed.
Since there is such a competitive divide, not between the Democratic or Republican parties, but rather between DU and FR, it's oftentimes difficult for DUers to understand that there is a common thread of humanity we share with many FReepers, and vice-versa, that runs much deeper than our political affiliations.

The rabidity of the neo-conservatives; the over-reaching zealotry of the fundamentalists; all of that accounts for a very small percentage of actual Bush supporters.

Most Bush-supporting America, by default, are individuals much like ourselves. The difference is that they tend to be ill-informed, self-absorbed individuals who have seen one or many of their basest sentiments pandered to by a party ever so willing to exploit them; although they would find themselves far to the left of Bush if they would just dedicate the time to get their facts straight or muster the humility to admit their wrongness.

I know there are many on this board who would immediately knee-jerk with a "Fuck reaching out to those stupid inbreds." Many on FreeRepublic would respond to pleas for unity with, "Fuck reaching out to those socialist, terrorist-sympathizing traitors." Is that the sort of quality in communication we should strive for? One that offers no room for mutual understanding or progress, even if we know we've got the facts on our side?

24. yes
Just "yes" to you BHN.

According to Howard K. Smith in "Last Train from Berlin" in 1941 the average German wanted out of the Nazi nightmare. He pleaded with the Americans and British to stop demonizing the entire German people and to stop bombing civilian targets. We gave them no escape route from the Nazis. We offered no alternatives.

The people at the other board are in the grips of a group of madmen, more so than we are in some ways. If we have a take no prisoners stance, and think that the only good fp-er is a dead fp-er, we run the risk of slowing the process that is just starting now and that will inevitably erode the support this corrupt and dangerous administration has enjoyed.

Don't know yet
because haven't called my local Congressperson. But my best guess is that there were problems with Ron Paul's provision - that by including such a provision, it also "endorsed" that the basic foundation of the law was okay. I cannot for a minute imagine Dems going for ANY of this and gather there will be more to follow.

Randi Rhodes had GREAT segment on this on her show yesterday and I look forward to hearing the whole thing in her archives. She said they had only three hours to read the entire omnibus bill. She was outraged, rightly so! She said something to the effect of no one should have to get a phone call saying their kid can't go to school if they are not taking their ritalin.

Three things that got included in this omnibus bill for which I'm outraged: (1) the mandatory mental screening of kids with the pressure to psychotropically drug them, (2) the severe reduction in Pell grants/loans to college students, and (3) the cutting into Roe v. Wade by for example, allowing employers the option to provide health plans that don't provide reproductive health options/coverage for abortion and so on. Can't imagine Dems going for any of these.

Of course don't all of the three add up to one thing: more "good" soldiers/disempowered slaves for their wars?

23. I say go right ahead.
I strongly suggest they implement such a loyalty oath as indicia of the far-right's absolute intolerance for free thought. Remember, most on FR are not the militant, lock-stepping neo-fascists they are painted as, but rather individuals who are under the false impression that they are on the right side of any number of "left-vs-right" arguments.

Give the moderate right a taste of what this administration has in store for them; the first glimmer of despotic groupthink, and they'll be fighting right alongside the Democrats in this battle to bring the truth out into the sunlight. And what an asset they'll be.

25. "liberal" was always a ghost
"Liberal" always meant no more and no less those who refused to join in the orgy of hatred. Those who wouldn't hate were to be hated. They have no real understanding of what a liberal is, and now they are having a hard time figuring out who is who, so that poster starts grasping for anything in desperation and suggests a ridiculous standard.

"Liberal" was always an illusion - they were shadow boxing.

This is very interesting to me. This is a very, very good sign. Winning was the worst thing that could ever happen to the neo-cons. Tearing up the game board in the process left all of their supporters adrift and questioning. Questioning is good. Very good.

Some of the threads at DU recently seemed really different to me - less strident and partisan. There are more and more posts here now that can't be easily ridiculed or responded to with the usual right wing jeering-points. By beating liberals into what they think is submission, they have freed liberals up from worrying about them anymore. The "dance of death" is unraveling. The music is going off key.

This is a pretty cool way to make it illegal for millions and millions of Americans to ever own a fire arm. So, the gub-mint wants to see if you're a nutter, fine. What if they decide (based on some half baked formula) that you are. What's next, Mandatory drugging....with let's say...
Prozak? If that's the case...think of how many people would be banned from applying for legal fire arm ownership. Once you take those types of drugs....you effectively are banned from ever owning a firearm.

This is a nice end run around the second ammendment. :)
