Matt Lauer is on the short list to replace Dan Rather????!!!!
This was just on C-SPAN. Matt Lauer?? Tim Russert is the other choice and seems to be the favored Rather replacement, but I can't believe Lauer was even considered. :puke: Russert isn't much better. :(

This will completely put CBS on flyover land on my remote. He sucks and that is putting it mildly. Russert at least approaches credibility from time to time, though is usually kow-towing to the dictator.

Anderson Cooper is the only name I've heard that I would bother watching. Hell I might even watch Harry Smith or John Roberts. But Tim Russert or Matt Lauer? Who is coming up with these stupid names? I dislike Brian Williams and I can't stand Peter Jennings, so if CBS News doesn't come up with a good replacement for Dan Rather, I'm just going to ignore the evening newscasts.
