I need any article discussing the reactivation of military retirees

I read an article over the weekend about retirees in their 60s receiving a letter telling them that their services were required back in the military, but I can't find the article(s).

2. I have heard about the Ready Reserve being called up

but I have not yet heard about Retired Reserve being called. If that happens I would like to know as I have a brother who is retired.

3. Ha there been any main stream media reporting of this?

The links above are good enough for me, but not for a couple Republican's who don't buy it. Also, there was a story posted here a while back about driver's licenses and having to sign up for the selective service? In Louisianna I think? Does anyone know the name of the paper(s) this was reported in?

6. drivers licenses

About 33 states require you to register for the selective service system before you can get a drivers license. Mostly this has been a requirement for a number of years with these states. The Louisiana law has been on the books for I think a few years.

Also, the ready reserve call up is for specialty areas, not for combat troops. Transporation, medical, etc. It is part of their contract that they are susceptible to such selective call ups for a number of years after they are out. Also, a person can chose to be on the "ready reserve" list as long as he is breathing.

7. As if transportation were the more desireable specialty

Our convoys haven't been faring all too well. In fact, next to the Iraqi police stations, the convoys are the litmus for civil unrest in the country.

I was talking about transportation logistics; managing getting stuff from here to there in Iraq, not drivers. It was just an example.
