What churches received "faith-based" monies?
What would be interesting to see is what
churches, religious orgs received taxpayer
dollars through Bush Inc. and what was the
money used for.

Audit anyone?

1. Obviously
That money was used to reelect Bush. That's why Bush bribed the churches. It was payback time.

3. An audit would cause a few of these places to lose their non-profit tax
status. It would be nice to watch a few "good souls" squirm under the weight of an audit.

Of course, auditing a religious org is a lot like killing a baby seal with a club and that's not likely to happen under bush's watch.

2. I thought Shrub gave Pat Robertson $500.000. Is he the PTO
shyster?

4. the first one was in Boston
It was the Old North Church, and the money was used to repair windows.

This is the same church from which Robert Newman (the church Sexton) hung lanterns for Paul Revere to warn people in Charlestown (across the harbor). Newman escaped through a back window as soldiers were breaking in the front door, but was later arrested and imprisoned anyway. Afterwards, Revere rowed across the harbor and began his famous ride. The signal lanterns were just in case he didn't make it across.

5. and I bet that was just for PR sake.....
I would bet that the majority went to churches
who got out the vote and more for Bush.

Let's have a list por favor.

6. Personally...
I don't think any Churches or Religious organizations should GET tax money, no matter which party line they fall along.

Any that do SHOULD be audited from time to time.
