I just got the scariest phone call from phone # 1 111 111 1111

I shit you not that was how the number appeared on my caller ID.

All 1's! I have been calling Senators and the media about the New Freedom Commission.

The New York Times hung up on me! I was begging them to cover it, they talked to me like the New Freedom Commission wasn't real and hung up on me!

Then I got a phone call from # 1 111 111 1111 the person said I was a whacko and hung up!

I'm terrified! WTF was that all about!?!

Please I can't do this by myself folks call your Senators and Congressmen the Capital hill switch borad phone number is 1 800 839 5276.

Call the media and demand that they cover it!

Call you local newspapers
talk to people you know
tell everyone you know

THIS IS REAL!

Ask them to trace the call.

You can trace by dialing *57 or whatever the code is for your local phone company. The phone company then runs the trace and stores the information. But they won't release it to you - they only release it in response to a police request.

Sadly I learned this when a psycho BF turned stalker.

You're not alone! Some lady phoned into Coast to Coast AM about a week ago and said she got a phone call from this number after her Mom had died.

She believed that 1-111-111-1111 represented the after life...

I don't know if it puts bogus numbers on your caller id, but it's a possible explanation.

my caller id will say 'no data' or 'unknown caller' when caller id is blocked...

There are web services that will fake caller ID for like 5 cents a minute.

Someone just decided to pay 5 cents to piss you off. Just forget about it.

Many of us have been harassed and intimidated. Its been happening to me off and on for over two years.

This may not have anything to do with being monitored, but honestly, this Administration didnt pass the Patriot Act to search for terrorists.

The Patriot Act is an assault on activism and anyone who disagrees with this Administration, not to mention Democracy. It has nothing to do with terrorism.

Its important to post things that are weird and yeah, this is a little weird and designed to intimidate, whoever it is doing it.

Its important for others to hear some of the stunts that are being pulled to be able to look out for it as well.

What are you talking about?

I tracked it down to a Candian company that
explained that there is a massive communications
fraud in progress globally.
There is some technology that they can highjack a
phone line on which they then disguise a number
like the one you saw on you CID.
Apparently the technology develops faster
than they can track it, so the perpetrators are
nearly impossible to catch.
I wouldn't worry about it too much,
although I understand your fear, I freaked
when it happened to me; I felt much better
after I spoke to the Canadian police about it though.
It is more common than you know.

this was definately a faked number, people can modify them from certain handsets I believe some cellphones atleast

My number doesn't. If someone calls me from a blocked line (one that doesn't show up on caller ID), the caller hears a recording which asks for the person to enter his/her phone number using the keypad.
