I've seen dozens of news reports showing the crowds and never observed any black folks...are they unwelcome...or something? It just strikes me as odd. (Please don't flame me for this, everyone who knows me understands I am absolutely not any sort of racist.) :D

the more pro-Western, Catholic country folk, I think.

Did you think the presence of Afro-Ukrainian citizens in the Ukraine would be indispensable for the multitudinous claims of fraud in the US to be valid! If so, I would think that you need to think a little less literally in such a matter.

4. Well,
Ukraine did not export slaves from Africa.
Why in the world would you expect to see African-Ukrainians?

11. France and England
In France and Great Britain there are people of non-European ethnicity because of the French and British colonies. In Germany and other countries, guest worker programs have brought people to Europe.

Great Britain was heavily involved in the slave trade, mostly to provide cheap labor for the British colonies.

Nothing wrong with asking a question about something you don't know. It is the people who aren't asking questions we should worry about, eh?

8. Well I met a few Black Polish people when I lived in Krakow.
Mostly the results of Cold War era hookups in Africa.

So I can imagine there a few Black folk in the Ukraine.

Just not many.

But you know there are plenty in Detroit/NY/Minneapolis so it's not because they "don't want to live in cold places".

10. Well there have been a few cases of Afro Slavs noted historically

After all Pushkin had an Ethiopian Grandparent.

I remember when I went to see "Moscow Does Not Beleive in Tears" in an old dollar art theater in South Florida when it was released the U.S., there was a scene at Moscow University where an african student walks in the background. I suddenly hear an elderly voice say with great surprise "A schwartze?" So I gues it is a somewhat rare inter-racial combination.

There is of course Myroslav Kuvaldin. Ukrainian who lives in a tiny Ukrainian town. and had a African Father (Again Ethiopian). There a literally tens of thousands of Afro Ukrainians as a result of the cold war international educational programs offiered by the Russians to many African Nations who embraced communism. This guy is realtively well known TV personality in the Ukraine
