Richard Clarke should be the Director of Nat'l Security!
I've been listening to all the 9/111 family members, house & senat members, and the 9/11 commission members, and one thing seems to be very clear from all of them. This Director must be knowlegable in all aspects of intelligence, a strong leader, able to fight opposition when he has to, have credibility, and willing to tell the President the truth without regard to politics being involved.

There is only one person I am aware of who fits that bill. Richard Clarke! I wonder if shrub will even consider him?

1. Don't hold your breath
The righties absolutely despise him for his very human apology for 9-11.

2. TS! The guy is good at what he does, and knows the
community very well! If this idiot president really wants to do what's right for the US, Clarke will be at the top of the list.

I don't care about the righties, and because shrub doesn't need to get reelected, he doesn't either.

4. This administration will never bring in an outsider

NEVER.

Certainly not one who has been so critical.

6. It would give shrub credibility!
You are probably right, but I am trying to make the best of a bad situation with this admin. I think I'll send a few emails to my Pub Rep and BOTH Senators with this suggestion. Saxby Chambliss might not pay a lot of attention, but Nathan Deal might.

5. Considering that the Shrubbies edged out Clarke so he finally quit
Edited on Wed Dec-01-04 03:25 AM by Garbo 2004
and then did their best to discredit him afterwards because he spoke out, the chances of him being considered for any Bush Administration appointment is like the proverbial snowball in hell. ;)
