Makes me wish I was a Methodist so I could sign. Makes me again proud to be a Christian, though.

The original petition is at They Must Repent. My friend is a Methodist minister.

Even if you're not Methodist, go to the pettion and read the postings. Freepers infiltrate and post pro-Bush stuff, it's interesting to read. (If disturbing!)

I signed it before the "election" as well.

I'm pissed at my church over the lesbian clergy issue, we are a big tent and have some reactionaries to deal with, but we have some courageous bishops who spoke out against the war.

7. I grew up in the Methodist Church.
The pastor thats going to preform my wedding next month is a methodist district superintendent.

Although I've always been proud of my church, I was really disappointed when the stripped that lesbian pastor in Washington state of her post.

This makes me feel little better, but I'm still pretty angry.
